I used to overexercise so badly... hours each day :( I honestly thought that was the only way to get the results I wanted, and I really learned to hate exercise as a result and only made myself sick. These days, I never spend more than 50 minutes to an hour in the gym, and I switched from heavy cardio to more strength training... and I'm in love. I can finally see results, I'm getting stronger, and I feel so much more vibrant and healthy.<br /><br />I think the only tip I'd add would be to EAT. People seem to forget that more energy out requires more energy in. I espe...Great tips Rebekah! You know your shtuff ;)<br />I especially like your emphasis on correct technique and form. SO often I see people at the gym who "swing" the weights up and down instead of using slow and CONTROLLED movements.<br />If you have to swing it, it's too heavy and you're not benefitting the way you should, AND you could get seriously hurt.<br />Then there's the other extreme-not lifting heavy enough. If you can lift the weight 20 times in a row, your muscle is hardly being challenged! You want something that's going to challenge your muscle to grow and develop into a lovely shape :)<br /><br />So, my fave exercises: lunges and squats for sure :) I have a love/hate relationship with Bulgarian squats :/ LOL!<br />Have a great weekend........sounds like a fun time: birthdays and shopping-woo hoo!<br />i have no plans as of now, but with a 6 year old, something will come up quick ;)Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13393355990717702446noreply@blogger.com
